Mendocino Railway is the owner/operator of passenger and freight railroads including the California Western
Railroad / Skunk Train which operates between Fort Bragg and Willits, California.
We are seeking a qualified individual to oversee and grow the bar operations. The outgoing candidate(s) should
be highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to onboard, train, cultivate their employees. The qualified
individual should be able to interact with colleagues, officials, and vendors in a variety of settings while handling
sometimes stressful situations.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)
- Supervise all facets of the existing daily bar operations.
- Develop, create, procure products and implement a more robust bar program for both on and off the train.
- Create and serve classic and innovative cocktails based on recipes or customer preferences.
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Assists in maintaining proper sales records.
- Create annual department budgets and goals for growth.
- Handle transactions and processing payments.
- Stay updated on beverage trends and experimenting with new drink recipes.
- Conduct operations in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and practices.
- Fully understand and support the mission statement of the Skunk Train
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED.
At least 2 years experience in bartending or formal mixology training.
At least 2 years experience in a management position.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English; communicate professionally, effectively, and clearly face-to-face, and in written communication.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Foreign Language.

Employment will be 30+ hours per week and includes excellent benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance (100% company paid for employee-only coverage), 401(k) retirement, paid holidays and paid time off.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
