What You'll Do
As a Toddler / Twos Teacher, you'll own your classroom — planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 1-3. Day-to-day, that includes:
- Designing and implementing play-based lesson plans aligned with early childhood best practices
- Supporting children's social-emotional development, language skills, and school readiness
- Tracking developmental milestones and conducting ongoing child assessments
- Communicating regularly with families to celebrate progress and address needs
- Supervising and mentoring an assistant teacher in your classroom
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
- Following Pennsylvania licensing and Keystone STARS quality standards
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or early childhood setting
- A warm, patient, and energetic approach to teaching
- Strong communication skills with both children and families
- Ability to commute to Gibsonia, PA 15044
Preferred (will affect placement in pay range):
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or ECE coursework/degree
- Experience with lesson planning and developmental assessment
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania Keystone STARS standards
- CPR/First Aid certification (training available if not yet certified)
