Duties

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with meal assembly, plating, and portion control to ensure consistency and quality
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and meet service timelines
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety standards are upheld
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Experience
- Previous food industry experience, including restaurant or catering roles, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
- Strong culinary background with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills such as slicing and dicing
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, showcasing understanding of special dietary needs and meal customization
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining high-quality standards
- Hands-on experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
