```Duties:```
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the medical office
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, organizing, and updating patient files
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
- Ensure accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding systems
- Process medical billing and insurance claims
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-9 or ICD-10
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical office software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
