Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to customers’ locations along designated routes
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual handling techniques
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying orders and obtaining customer signatures when required
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering assistance, and maintaining a professional demeanor during deliveries
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure safe driving and delivery operations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal functioning of the delivery vehicle
- Keep detailed logs of deliveries, route progress, and any incidents or delays
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with route driving and load & unload tasks
- Customer service experience that demonstrates professionalism and communication skills
- Warehouse experience is a plus, but not required, including familiarity with heavy lifting, moving, and equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no CDL required but commercial driving experience is advantageous.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (if applicable) and handle heavy lifting safely
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, loading/unloading cargo, and working in warehouse environments
