Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals from birth to 3rd birthday in the home setting for Indiana First Steps. This role involves assessing families' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. The Occupational Therapist assistant will work collaboratively with an Occupational therapist and a multidisciplinary team to support meeting the children's developmental milestones.
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and IFSP goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions that promote growth and development.
- Collaborate with other First Steps professionals, including developmental therapists, speech therapists and physical therapists.
- Provide education and support to families regarding treatment plans and strategies for continued progress.
- Document progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy through professional development and continuing education.
Experience
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required
- Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist.
- Familiarity with pediatric therapy practices and early intervention strategies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
