American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) travel position in Reno, NV, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Level III or higher NICU experience and ventilator training.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in a large regional medical center — the region's only Level II Trauma Center and home to the region's only children's hospital

3x12-hour night shifts per week

13-week contract

Floating to other units may be required up to the nurse's competency level

Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some on-call shifts; call requirements to be discussed during interview

Epic used for charting; training available during orientation or candidates may test out

Kronos used for timekeeping

Active NV RN license required; candidates who have never held a NV temp or permanent license may be considered and must apply immediately upon offer

Current AHA certifications: BLS and NRP

Minimum 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III NICU or higher

Ventilator training and experience required

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Provides individualized, comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients across the full episode of care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and incorporates family/caregivers into the care process

A minimum of 2 major holidays will be required during the contract

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must take a 13-week break after their contract ends before returning

Blocked scheduling is not permitted

RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration; time off is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
