American Traveler is seeking an RN First Assist for the Operating Room, requiring a KS or compact RN license and availability for scheduled call coverage.

Operating room setting supporting surgical first assist procedures

13-week assignment with 12-hour shifts

Approximately 36 hours per week

Template schedule provided, though consecutive days together are not guaranteed

Required to take call three weekends per month

May be required to work holidays depending on staffing needs

Active KS or compact RN license required

Surgical First Assist (RNFA) experience required

COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) or an approved declination required

Serve as a surgical first assist in the operating room

Local candidates accepted at the same rate as traveler candidates

Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 90 days before returning as a traveler
