We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Field Technician to support chemical treatments and equipment at customer locations. This is a hands-on position for someone who works well independently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in keeping field operations running safely and reliably.
Position Summary
The Field Technician will deliver, install, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical application systems at oil and gas locations. This position will work closely with Native Chemical’s operations team, customers, drivers, and other field personnel to ensure products are handled properly, equipment performs as intended, and services are accurately documented.
The role requires regular travel to well sites, outdoor work in changing weather conditions, and availability for a schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver chemical products, equipment, and supplies to customer locations.
- Install, inspect, operate, and maintain chemical pumps, tanks, hoses, containment systems, and related field equipment.
- Monitor chemical usage, application rates, inventory levels, and equipment performance.
- Calibrate pumps and adjust chemical rates according to approved treatment plans and operating instructions.
- Collect water, oil, fluid, or chemical samples and maintain accurate sample identification.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Identify leaks, equipment failures, unsafe conditions, and operational concerns, then report or correct them promptly.
- Complete field tickets, treatment records, inventory reports, inspection forms, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain clean and organized vehicles, equipment, work areas, and chemical storage locations.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide timely updates to the operations team.
- Follow customer requirements, company procedures, safety data sheets, and all applicable environmental and transportation regulations.
- Participate in safety meetings, job safety analyses, training, and incident-prevention programs.
- Support chemical transfers, field trials, special projects, and other operational needs as assigned.
- When not in the field, support yard operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screening, which may include a background check, motor vehicle review, drug screening, and physical-capability evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and accurate record-keeping.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use common hand tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for email, forms, photographs, navigation, and field reporting.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned operating area and work a flexible or on-call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous oil and gas, chemical service, water treatment, production, completion, frac, flowback, or industrial field experience.
- Experience operating or maintaining chemical injection pumps and fluid-transfer equipment.
- Knowledge of oilfield chemicals and safe chemical-handling practices.
- Commercial driver’s license or the ability to obtain one, if required for the assigned duties.
- Current H2S, PEC/SafeLand, OSHA, first-aid, or related industry training.
- Forklift, trailer, or material-handling experience.
Physical and Work Requirements
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier items with appropriate assistance or equipment.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and work around tanks, trailers, pumps, and uneven terrain.
- Safely enter and exit vehicles and field equipment throughout the workday.
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, mud, and other typical oilfield conditions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including flame-resistant clothing, safety-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Work around industrial equipment, pressurized systems, moving vehicles, and chemical products while following established safety controls.
- Drive for extended periods between customer locations.

Schedule
- M-F with rotations on weekends
- On-call, weekend, holiday, and overnight work may be required.
- Travel within Oklahoma/Texas region is required.
