Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscape Foreman to lead and oversee outdoor landscaping projects, ensuring high-quality grounds maintenance and landscape installations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate landscape crews to complete lawn care, planting, hardscape installation, and grounds maintenance tasks efficiently and to high standards
- Manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are met
- Oversee irrigation system installation and maintenance, troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal watering performance
- Identify plants accurately and provide horticultural guidance to crew members for proper planting and care techniques
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including company vehicles, mowers, trimmers, and irrigation tools
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during outdoor work activities
- Lead team management efforts by training crew members on landscaping best practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance with a strong background in landscape installation and upkeep
- Supervising experience with demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in outdoor environments
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and tree care techniques
- Hands-on experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hardscape construction such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor structures
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely including ground maintenance tools and company vehicles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team in outdoor settings
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks clearly among team members and clients
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles preferred
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; experience with outdoor grounds maintenance is essential
