Massage Therapy by Krissy is a locally owned therapeutic massage and esthetics studio in San Antonio, TX. We have been serving our community since 2012 with one goal: helping people feel better. We are not a chain and we are not a franchise. We are a team of skilled, licensed professionals who believe that massage is essential maintenance for the body, and we take that seriously in everything we do.
We have six treatment rooms, a loyal client base, and a team that genuinely cares about their work. We are growing into a new chapter and we are looking for the right person to help lead it.
The Role
This is a hybrid position designed for a licensed massage therapist who is ready to step into a leadership role without leaving the table entirely. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the team and studio operations, manage front desk responsibilities on designated manager shifts, and continue seeing clients on commission-based LMT shifts.
This is not a background role. You are the person the team comes to first, the person clients trust to resolve concerns, and the person ownership relies on to keep the studio running well. On manager shifts, there may also be opportunities to pick up massage sessions when scheduling allows, adding to your commission earnings.
This role is for someone who is equally comfortable coaching a teammate through a protocol issue and delivering an exceptional 90-minute deep tissue session. Manager Shift Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all team communications, including time-sensitive situations that may arise outside of scheduled manager shift hours
- Hold team members accountable to attendance, SOAP note compliance, room sanitation, and rebooking standards
- Handle client check-in, check-out, membership sign-ups, and account questions
- Manage call-out coverage and scheduling adjustments as they arise
- Onboard and train new LMTs alongside ownership
- Document conduct concerns and escalate personnel decisions to the owner
- Oversee LMT checkout operations and ensure the process runs consistently across the team
LMT Shift Responsibilities
- Deliver customized massage sessions at your standard of care
- Complete SOAP notes same day before clocking out
- Maintain room sanitation and closing standards
- Check clients in and out independently using our tablet checkout system
Schedule
Day Hours Role:
Monday 3:00pm to 9:00pm (possible am shift available) Manager
Thursday 3:00pm to 9:00pm Manager
Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm LMT
Saturday 10:00am to 5:30pm LMT
Sunday 9:00am to 5:00pm Manager
This schedule is set. We are looking for someone who can commit to it consistently. Reliability is not a bonus in this role, it is the foundation of it.
Compensation
Manager shifts are paid hourly at $15 to $20 per hour depending on phase and experience. LMT shifts earn commission ranging from 41% to 45% as you grow into the role. A training hourly rate applies during the onboarding period, during which you are also earning LMT commission and tips from day one. Full compensation details are discussed during the interview process.

What We Are Looking For
- Active Texas LMT license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience preferred
- A track record of showing up consistently and following through
- Strong communication skills and a calm, direct approach with both clients and team members
- Genuine care for the people around you, clients and teammates alike
- Comfortable with technology including scheduling software and tablet-based client checkout
- Available for time-sensitive team communications outside of scheduled shift hours when needed
- Someone who wants to grow with a studio, not just fill a shift
