Position Summary: PPL is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Brownsville, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products and raw materials throughout the facility. This role is critical to maintaining efficient production and shipping operations while ensuring a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down, stand-up, and/or clamp forklifts to transport materials safely throughout the facility.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and railcars according to company procedures.
Stage and organize materials to support production, shipping, and inventory management.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Follow all company safety protocols, including PPE usage and forklift operation guidelines.
Assist with inventory counts, material tracking, and other warehouse/production support tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution setting.
Ability to operate various forklifts safely, including sit-down, stand-up, and clamp trucks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Must be physically able to lift and move materials as required.
Forklift certification is preferred or must be able to obtain certification.
