Job Title: Medical Billing Insurance Specialist - Full Time
Location: Surfside Beach, SC 29575
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION - REQUIRED TO BE ON SITE IN OFFICE DAILY
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm OR 9:00am - 5:00pm
We provide revenue cycle management services to Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).
We’re currently hiring a Experience High Level Full Time Insurance Billing Specialist to follow up on Nursing Home facility claims. It will be your role to track all aspects of the claim process until payment issued: Initial follow up/rebilling rejections or denials/submitting appeals. We are looking for expierence in UB04 billing and insurance portal experience (Availity etc). Small busy office in Surfside Beach, SC.
What You’ll Do:
- Process and Track resident billing from billing through payment received
- Follow up on Insurance portals or phones for claim status
- Rebill claims when needed due to denials/rejections
- Submit Appeals when needed
- Maintain accurate specific notes on each account for each follow up
- Monitor Aging reports to identify claims still outstanding
- Participate in monthly AR meetings for claims
Experience Needed:
- Prior experience in medical billing and insurance collections (SNF experience a must)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Detail to time sensitive billing policies per insurance plan
- Comfort with billing platforms (Waystar, PointClickCare, Inovalan and Visual experience is a plus)
- Higher Level Billing Experience - familiarity with insurance billing process on a UB04.
- Compliance with Hippa requirements
