Kandyland Kids is seeking upbeat, patient, reliable, and responsible Lead and Co-Lead School Age Teachers to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are committed to creating a positive, engaging, and safe environment for children.
Position Responsibilities
- Child supervision — Caring for children ages 4–12
- Bus transitions — Ensuring accurate accounting of children during bus drop‑off and pick‑up
- Lesson planning — Developing age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Classroom engagement — Actively participating in activities with children and coworkers
- Parent communication — Maintaining professional, clear communication with families
- Classroom upkeep — Managing daily organization and cleanliness of the classroom
- Training compliance — Staying current with required training hours
Lead Teacher Qualifications
Candidates may qualify through one of the following pathways:
- Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field OR
- School‑Age Child Care Credential or other Office‑recognized school‑age credential AND one year of experience working with children under age 13 OR
- High school diploma (or equivalent) AND two years of direct experience working with children under age 13
