Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated fulltime and parttime Welder/Fabricators to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving metal fabrication, welding, and assembly across construction and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and fabrication tasks.
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.
- Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate rigging equipment as required on construction sites or in shop environments.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, using proper PPE, and following OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Assist with assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures while ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Use shop math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work necessary for fabrication projects.
- Support manufacturing processes by machining metal materials or performing soldering tasks when needed.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with familiarity in metal fabrication environments.
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and ASME or AWS standards.
- Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, and assembly processes.
- Experience operating power tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, forklifts, machining equipment, and rigging gear is preferred.
- Familiarity with safety protocols specific to welding shops and construction sites is essential for maintaining a compliant work environment.
- Prior shop math proficiency combined with mechanical blueprint interpretation to ensure accurate project execution.
- General carpentry and/or painting knowledge a definite bonus!
