Duties
- Erect and assemble metal building frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment with accuracy and efficiency
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure proper alignment and installation of component
- Manage framing tasks including metal stud framing,metal trim carpentry, and siding installation to ensure structural integrity
- Operate heavy machinery safely for lifting and positioning large steel components or concrete elements
- Read measurements accurately using tape measures
Skills
- Extensive experience in metal building erection with a strong understanding of construction sequences and safety protocols
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate assembly
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment safely and effectively on construction sites
- Knowledge of welding techniques and metal stud framing methods for structural assembly
- Familiarity with construction plans, technical specifications, and dimensional measurements for precise work
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly while maintaining safety standards; physically fit for demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating with team members
