Director of Nursing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at Avista Nursing and Rehab in Saginaw, Michigan. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our long-term care unit and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of our long-term care unit, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
Provide mentorship and guidance to our nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion
Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
Foster strong relationships with our patients, families, and community partners
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on long-term care and/or subacute care
Current RN license in the state of Michigan
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
