Job Overview
We are currently looking to add fabrication/electrical assemblers (Assembler III) to our team for a facility located in Waterville, OH. The Assembler III works independently in completing manufacturing custom-built furnaces from print to production. Ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined with experience in welding, fabrication, electrical work, and piping.
Pay starting at $20/hr--based on skill evaluation
Responsibilities and Duties
- Use initiative in conducting recurring assignments to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal directions may direct the work of others
- Master the use of hand and power tools
- Assist in loading, unloading, set up, or moving equipment—requiring use of overhead cranes and fork trucks
- Plan and carry out tasks or work independently up to final review and decisions
- Perform jobsite installations as part of a field team and as a team leader
- Assist in the training of less skilled or less experienced mechanics as directed by plant management
- Perform all other duties and functions as required
Qualifications
- Typically, a high school graduate
- Some level of continuing education that is related is preferred
- Strong mechanical ability
- Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts
- Must be proficient in some forms of process and tack welding; basic electrical skills including layout and mount conduit and pull & terminate wire; layout, cut & thread, and mount piping systems; set and align motors, pumps, other mechanical components etc.; layout, set, level & align furnace drive system
Be proficient in welding processes necessary for facility manufacturing;
- Read electrical prints & layouts
- Read piping prints (two-lined & isometric); read mechanical prints
- Read and understand suppliers’ instructions
Physical requirements—must be able to perform for the majority of the workday
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Must be able to lift--up to 50 pounds, bend, stretch, and reach as needed
- Must be able to climb ladders as needed
