I started AutoWorks behind my mom’s house. Two carports. Used lifts. A compressor on an extension cord I had to run through the laundry room. I unplugged the dryer every time I needed air. My service counter was the kitchen table.
We did 20 to 25 cars a month. Zero advertising. All word of mouth. Because the person talking to every one of those customers was honest with them - even when the honest answer cost us a sale.
That’s still the job. Sixteen years later, we service over 5,000 cars a year, and it’s still the job.

What you’ll actually do:
You’re the first voice a customer hears and the last hand they shake. We run a clean, organized, systemized shop using Shop-Ware and digital inspections (photos + video). You will:
- Manage the floor and service-lane workflow
- Walk cars with techs when needed
- Build and present estimates clearly
- Follow up on declined work
- Keep customers updated so they’re never guessing
- Make sure customers understand what’s happening and why
What this pays:
Base draw plus commission on gross profit. Production-weighted. The better you are at building real relationships and closing honest work, the more you make. The floor is real at $65,000. Strong advisors typically earn $70K–$100K+.

What we need from you:
Minimum 3 years as a service advisor in a full-service repair shop. Quick lube, tire-only, or parts-counter experience does not qualify. You’ve written estimates, presented declined work, and managed a lane under pressure...without pressuring customers into work they don’t need.
The thing we can’t train is whether you actually care about the person in front of you. Everything else we can work with.

Pay: $63,516.08 - $106,492.48 per year
