Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit transactions efficiently, handling cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu items to elevate guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or issues professionally to foster a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink preparation techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash safely
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
