Atlantic Cove Marina is seeking an experienced Marina Yard Operator/ Dockhand to support existing marina operations of approximately 130 slips with an active boatyard. A successful candidate possesses strong skills in tenant relations, maintenance, and motivation. This position will work directly with all aspects of yard operations.
Basic Job Duties:
- Assist with hauling, launching, and moving boats using marina equipment
- Operate machinery such as forklifts and travel lifts (experience preferred)
- Perform light dock work including line handling and general upkeep
- Support yard organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Assist with basic mechanical tasks and troubleshooting as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Attendance to the fuel dock.
- Ensure safety of members on the water.
- Maintain and clean docks, walkways, ramp ways, equipment, and other areas in the boatyard.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies as needed.
- Perform frequent trash removal from docks and waste cans and move to dumpsters as directed.
- Other ad-hoc projects as they arise
Job Requirements:
- Current USCG Captain’s license preferred but not required
- Understands that a level of diplomacy is imperative.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Prior experience with docks and/or marina maintenance
- During the boating season, weekend hours are required
- Team player with customer service skills
- Experience with boatyard machinery and marine environments required
- Experience operating forklifts and/or travel lifts strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude or basic repair knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment and materials as needed

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
