Family medicine is the medical specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families. By integrating biological, clinical, and behavioral sciences, this specialty encompasses all ages, sexes, organ systems, and disease entities. This unique combination qualifies family physicians to deliver continuing and comprehensive medical care, health maintenance, and preventive services to every member of a family, regardless of the patient's age or whether the issue is biological, behavioral, or social.
Job Summary

Provides patient check-in and check-out, reviews records to ensure patient insurance and demographics information is accurate and complete

Receives payments, confirms insurance eligibility, enters billing data, and resolves patient accounts.

Coordinates scheduling of any patient appointments to allow for effective treatment and patient care.

Assists with all inquiries in the clinic office including walk-in patients, scheduling clinic appointments, and follow-ups.

Serves as a resource for clinical protocols and payment/billing information for patients.

Assists in emergency or problem situations.

Serves as back-up for clinical office staff as needed.
-
Maintains office supplies, and other administrative duties as needed.

Assists in maintenance and organization of patient medical records.

May reconcile and analyze reports for rebilling and finalizing daily logs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
-
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
-
6 months of related experience.
SKILLS
Required

Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
