Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical Therapist and Doctors of Chiropractors to support patient recovery and rehabilitation. Your energetic approach will help facilitate effective therapy sessions, assist with patient transfers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times
- Monitor patient progress during therapy, documenting observations accurately and reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist
- Provide compassionate patient care by assisting with mobility exercises, exercises prescribed by therapists, and daily activities as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations
- Support intake procedures by gathering relevant medical history, explaining therapy processes to patients, and answering questions about treatment plans
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while assisting patients with mobility or transfer needs
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required; additional certifications in physiotherapy assistance or related fields are advantageous
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on maintaining patient confidentiality and providing empathetic support during treatment sessions
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and hospital environments is essential

Pay is $20. per hour to start with a signing Bonus
Hours: MWF 2pm to 7 pm. More hours available
