Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt of inbound materials and the preparation and shipment of finished goods. This role supports inventory accuracy, on-time customer deliveries, and safe, organized warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Pick, stage, verify, and load finished goods for outbound shipments using forklifts or pallet jacks

Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including BOLs, packing lists, labels, and carrier paperwork

Coordinate carrier pickups and support on-time deliveries

Receive inbound raw materials, packaging, and supplies; verify quantities, lot codes, and condition against purchase orders and packing slips

Label, stage, store, and document all materials accurately in ERP or inventory systems

Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, labeling, and documentation

Communicate discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors

Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and general warehouse operations

Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready shipping and receiving areas

Follow all food safety, GMP, quality, and safety requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Forklift experience or willingness to become certified

Basic computer skills (ERP, shipping software, email)

Ability to read and understand POs, BOLs, and shipping documents

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented

1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate material handling equipment throughout the shift

Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment, which may include varying temperatures and noise levels.

Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for long periods of time, which may include hair/beard nets, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, lab coats, or protective outerwear.
