Refrigeration Technician (3-5 years of experience required)
**LOCATION: Louisville, KY, Bowling Green, KY, Owensboro, KY area
East's Refrigeration, LLC is a commercial service contractor providing supermarkets with quality service in rack refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
We are looking for a dedicated team member with strong commercial rack refrigeration knowledge and the ability to work as a team and independently.
Job Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, including but not limited to air conditioning units, CO2 refrigeration systems, and commercial HVAC/R equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration systems and make necessary repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment and identify potential problems.
- Install new refrigeration systems and components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in refrigeration maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems and components.
- Preferred knowledge in rack refrigeration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in mechanical skills, including welding and pipefitting.
- Familiarity with CO2 refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be willing to service stores in Central/Southern IN and Central/Western KY.
- Type I and Type II EPA
- Large-Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
- Can lift up to 75 pounds
- Can move up and down ladders
- Comfortable working at heights often
- Able to pass a drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
