Job Summary
J&F is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Area Lead Cleaner to oversee cleaning operations across multiple sites within a designated region. This energetic leader will ensure that all facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, extensive janitorial and custodial experience, and a passion for maintaining pristine environments. As an Area Lead Cleaner, you will motivate and guide cleaning teams, implement effective management strategies, and uphold operational excellence in, or commercial settings.
Position starts at 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with On call weekends Must be able to drive a company car.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning activities across multiple locations to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Lead, train, and motivate cleaning staff to deliver exceptional service while adhering to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, checklists, and procedures tailored to each site’s needs.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to monitor cleanliness, safety compliance, and maintenance issues.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper usage.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership, and performance management.
- Collaborate with management teams to address operational challenges and improve overall cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within hospitality, hotel, or commercial environments.
- Supervising or management experience in cleaning operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple sites efficiently.
- Experience with laundry services and housekeeping management is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in quality control inspections.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
