Angel of Hope is seeking a energetic, self motivated person to help grow our dog adoption program. Full time hours per week onsite. Also weekend Adoption Events have required attendance. Hours may be able to expand as the programs grows.
Main responsibilities include:
- Promote, coordinate and manage adoption events. Must attend 4 per month.
- Recruit and manage dog foster homes/parents. This includes training new fosters, providing support to fosters and retaining fosters.
- Manage intake of dogs appropriate for our foster homes.
- Coordinate vetting needs of dogs in Foster program to ensure they are ready for adoption. We utilize our inhouse Vet Suite for most of our pet care but also work with outside vets as needed for services we cannot provide.
- Willing to follow our Staff Veterinarian established protocal.
- Maintain accurate medical records for dogs in our program, prepare adoption packets and ensure microchips are registered in a timely manner.
- Manage dog resources/supplies so they are used effectively, and are available as needed for foster homes.
- Help build and promote our dog program including building and maintaining relationships with other rescues, shelters and impounds.
- Manage dog adoption process and paperwork. Respond to inquiries by phone and email.
- Handle post adoption questions and issues promptly.
- Active role with social media, marketing, and fundraising for Angel of Hope Animal Rescue.
- Must be organized, great with details and consistent with paperwork.
- Work as a team member with the leadership, fosters and volunteers of Angel of Hope Animal Rescue.
- Experience as Vet Tech and or animal care is a plus!
