Wright Block & Brick is looking for a dependable Class A or Class B CDL Driver to join our team. This position involves local delivery of concrete block, brick, and hardscape materials to contractors, job sites, and customers throughout the area.
The driver will operate a 10-wheeler delivery truck equipped with a Moffett truck-mounted forklift, allowing you to unload materials directly at the customer's job site.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 10-wheeler delivery truck with Moffett forklift
- Deliver block, brick, pavers, retaining wall products, and other building materials to local customers
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely
- Operate the Moffett forklift to place materials where requested by customers
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and communicate with customers and dispatch
- Provide professional, courteous service at delivery locations
- Maintain a clean and safe truck and work area
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Clean driving record
- Current DOT medical card
- Experience operating a Moffett or similar truck-mounted forklift is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to safely handle and deliver heavy building materials
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical duties associated with loading and unloading materials
