Job Description
Our premier HVAC company is seeking a skilled HVAC Installation Technician to join our team in the San Francisco area. This role goes beyond standard ductwork hanging. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in basic electrical wiring, water/drain line plumbing, and system startup procedures. Key Responsibilities
- System Startup & Commissioning: Conduct initial system startups, test airflows, check voltage/amperage, and verify that the newly installed systems meet manufacturer operating standards.
- Electrical Connections: Wire both low-voltage (thermostats, control boards, sensors) and line-voltage components (disconnect boxes, whips, indoor/outdoor units) safely and according to code.
- Plumbing & Drainage: Install condensate drain lines, water loops (for hydronic/boiler helper systems), and connect water lines, ensuring tight joints and zero leaks.
- Ductwork Installation: Assist with fabricating, hanging, and sealing air ducts using sheet metal, flexible ductwork (flexes), and standard transitions.
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of HVAC installation experience, with a proven track record of handling electrical connections and water systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification is preferred (or must be willing to obtain within 60 days). Basic OSHA-10 safety card is a plus.
- Physical & Logistics: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in crawl spaces/attics, and possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
