American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, working night shifts with required PALS certification and a minimum of one year of experience.

Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting within an inpatient hospital environment
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

13-week contract

CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Level 1 trauma experience required

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
-
Current BLS and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Level 1 experience required

Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Proficiency in nursing theory, clinical techniques, IV therapy, and medication administration

Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision

Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses, and educating patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Previously placed travelers must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible to apply again

Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly and by the required deadline — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
