Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist specializing in Lathe and Mill operations to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM programming software to produce complex parts efficiently.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tooling changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when required for intricate or hard-to-machine components.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Assist with assembly processes as needed and operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools to support production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols including forklift operation when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience with CNC programming for lathe and mill machines, particularly Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar tools for part design review.
- Familiarity with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming for efficient toolpath creation.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding when applicable.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements.
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for complex part fabrication.
- Knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining best practices to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to read complex blueprints accurately while adhering to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and effectively.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
