Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer experiences, managing transactions accurately, and supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems, retail sales, and cashiering is preferred, along with the ability to assist customers effectively and promote products through upselling and product demos.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Manage cashier duties including scanning items, processing payments, and giving accurate change
- Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas while adhering to store policies on phone etiquette and customer interactions. We are a customer first cafe!
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills with a professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy cafe
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
