Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in a small yet busy kitchen. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, with a menu that focuses on breakfast and lunch items. Candidate must be willing to ensure that food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in back of the house duties such as prepping food, cleaning, order in take and even washing dishes if necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Support meal preparation for various service types, including catering events if required
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy periods
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Skills in catering, serving, or working within the food industry will be considered advantageous
- Strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities are important for success in this role
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting with attention to detail is preferred
- Bi Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Schedule:
Hours between 6am - 4:30pm.
*PERMANENT SET SCHEDULE - Once schedule is set, it won't change weekly. Shifts are permanent every week.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
