Forget the sterile clinic walls. At Happy Kids Therapies, we meet kids where they learn and play! We are looking for a creative, energetic COTA to provide therapy services directly within daycare environments. You’ll be the bridge between developmental milestones and daily play, helping little ones thrive in their natural "work" environment.
Your Typical Day
- Play with Purpose: Implement treatment plans through play-based interventions—using the daycare’s classroom and playground as your gym.
- Classroom Collaboration: Work alongside daycare teachers to suggest environmental tweaks (like sensory corners or seating) that help our kiddos succeed.
- Bridge the Gap: Help children master transitions, fine motor skills (coloring, cutting), and self-care (snack time, buttoning coats).
- Track Progress: Document sessions efficiently to keep families and OTRs in the loop.
- Empower Educators: Provide quick, "on-the-go" tips to daycare staff to support the child’s goals throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pro: Current Michigan State OTA License and NBCOT certification.
- Child-at-Heart: Proven experience (or a strong passion) for working with the birth-to-five population.
- Adaptable: You’re comfortable working in a dynamic daycare setting and can pivot when a toddler has a "toddler moment."
- Reliable: Since you’ll be traveling between local sites in the Clinton Twp/Mt. Clemens area, reliable transportation is a must.
