Reporting directly to the Senior EHS Manager, the Safety Manager is responsible for supporting all operations with training and compliance to the regulating authorities. The Safety Manager will also be responsible for the entry and tracking of all incidents and injuries within the designated system/s, as well as working with the insurance companies on claims administration.
Primary Duties:

Manages all safety training records.

Creates continuous learning exercises and training opportunities to further departmental and organizational expertise.
- Manages, schedules and disseminates changes to safety regulations and requirements.

Devises safety interventions based on collected performance data.

Manages all OSHA logs for the Department of Labor.
- Reviews and analyzes execution of new employee onboarding process to include training and content.

Verifies all employees authorized to operate company vehicles.

Develops initiatives geared towards process improvement in Facility Safety.

Engage directly with employees concerning regulatory compliance.

Conducts standardized division- wide training initiatives.

Conducts active outreach and performance observations to facilitate employee interventions and corrective performance.
- Maintains collaborative working relationships within all divisions to achieve communal safety goals.

Determines best practices for fostering Division safety excellence.

Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Qualifications:
-
2-5+ years’ Safety & Compliance experience in all operations regulated by DOT, OSHA knowledge helpful.

Environmental Health (Chemical/Waste Management/Disposal) experience desired

Knowledge and understanding of Federal and State regulated DOT and OSHA compliance regulations required.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) desired

Very strong oral and written communication skills needed; knowledge of principles/methods of curriculum and training presentation and design preferred.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail.

Pay Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually
