Our primary teaching methods are play based learning and we are person-centered and trauma informed. We are a new and growing company that will have a full caseload by the end of the year. By spring, we plan to have an adult center and have several areas of growth in the works.
Pivot ABA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients with autism and developmental disabilities. This role is vital in helping clients improve their daily living skills, social interactions, and overall quality of life through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.

Starting wage 23-25$ with potential for increases to 28$ over the course of the first year.
ACTIVE RBT CERTIFICATIONS HAVE PREFERENCE but will train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors accurately.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including educators and healthcare providers, to support client needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure that medical records are kept up-to-date and organized.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with parents and other professionals.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health is advantageous.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and techniques.
- Ability to collect data effectively and analyze client progress.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
- Must be free for evening shifts as late as 6:30 pm.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to engage with client that may pace or move from room to room. .
- Must be able to run up to 50 ft in instance of client elopement to keep client safe. Must a full run, not a jog.
- Must be able to get up and down from the floor swiftly in case of client escalation to prevent injury of client aggression towards them.
- Constantly operates the applications that include utilizing a text pad for completion of medical notes
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans
- Constantly positions self to engage in with client, assist client during client engaging in avoidance, or assisting client during seizure drop.
- The person in this position teaches communication skills to those with ASD and must have proficient communication skills to be able to teach the skill as well as accurately hear their response, which often can be quiet and unclear.
- Must be able to see client materials and read notes and targets on an app.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 45 pounds in incidents of client elopement to return to safety if necessary.
- Must be able to tolerate work environments that may include outside during harsh weather for up to 15 minutes during outside play with clients.
- Must be cleared to drive a vehicle to transition to clients homes/work settings.
