Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and performing utility work to support construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and operational skills to make a tangible impact on infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with construction utility work including utility locating, trenching, and installation of underground utilities following federal construction safety regulations.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Support construction grading activities by preparing sites with precision using loaders, graders, and dozers.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations and utility work practices.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Prior experience in construction grading, excavation, paving, or utility installation is highly desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment such as Caterpillar machines or similar brands.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving is preferred.
- Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work safely in dynamic environments while following all safety protocols.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
