Job Overview
Next Step Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide Early Intervention services to children (birth–5) in Lehigh County.
This role emphasizes family-centered care, focusing on helping children develop functional skills through coaching, modeling, and play-based interventions in natural environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide Early Intervention occupational therapy services to infants and young children
- Conduct evaluations and assess developmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized, functional treatment plans
- Support caregivers through coaching and modeling strategies
- Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-help, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with families, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in IFSP meetings and contribute to goal development
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Pediatric or Early Intervention experience preferred
- Knowledge of sensory integration and developmental milestones
- Strong communication and family engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Compensation & Schedule
- $60–$80 per hour, based on experience
- Flexible, part-time schedule
- Services provided in home and community settings
