Job Scope: A Driver position in the Bronx Family Network shelter involves transporting residents, residents, staff, and supplies to and from various locations, including other shelter sites, DHS offices, housing searches, and medical and mental health appointments. The driver also schedules vehicle maintenance and ensures vehicle inspection is current, and the vehicle is kept clean. They will be responsible for distributing DHS notices and packages to sites as instructed.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Operating the vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all driving regulations.
- Ensuring that all vehicle inspections are maintained, including routine inspections and cleaning.
- Ensuring the vehicle is returned cleaned and inspected and maintaining it in compliance with vehicle management policies.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing vehicle routes.
- Interacting with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

Provide transportation support for staff as needed for program-related business.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
This role involves frequent driving and occasional lifting or moving equipment. Must be able to operate a vehicle in varying weather conditions.

A valid driver's license, and potentially a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on the vehicle size.

Physical Demands:

Ability to drive for extended periods and respond to last-minute transport needs.
