Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, and will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and regulations.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, and construction debris.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload materials at designated locations using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and vehicle maintenance.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the truck as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the truck both inside and out.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating various types of trucks including, flatbeds and roll-off trucks.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is necessary.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in transportation and construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
