Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Driver Manager to lead our transportation operations and ensure seamless delivery services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee driver performance, coordinate logistics, and optimize fleet utilization to meet organizational goals.
Duties
- Supervise daily driver activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies, develop improvement strategies, and support supply chain objectives.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams using multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and clear written updates.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate shipments and resolve issues swiftly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL coordination.
- Familiarity with transportation analysis tools such as transportation management systems (TMS) and related software like FreightView or similar platforms.
