Overview

Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to accurately construct formwork systems.
- Construct, assemble, and install formwork using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and alignment for concrete pouring.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to specifications to strengthen concrete structures.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently during form construction and concrete pouring processes.
- Execute concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, caulking, and sealing tasks to achieve smooth surfaces and structural integrity.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and protocols diligently to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with other trades such as masonry, carpentry, roofing, and restoration teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools, heavy equipment operation, and power tools used in formwork assembly.
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and related tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings or schematics for form construction.
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles to assist in project planning and material requirements.
- Skilled in rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, roofing, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
- Experience with renovation projects or restoration work involving concrete structures is a plus.
- Capable of operating heavy machinery such as forklifts or cranes when necessary for material handling or formwork setup.
