Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Daytime Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for both mid-week prep duties and weekend daytime lunch line cook duties, preparing high-quality meals in an upscale casual environment while adhering to food safety standards. Your culinary expertise will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen and ensure that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences. This is primarily a daytime role which includes Saturdays and Sundays.
40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Assist in the meal preparation process by following recipes and portioning meals accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, assisting with meal setup and service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary role, such as Line Cook, Grill Cook or Prep Cook, is required.
- Making soup and stocks, prepping meats and fish, following recipes.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and catering services is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods are highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
