Job Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service, make product recommendations, and answer questions.

Prepare food for customers, including slicing deli meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, and pricing and packaging items.

Learn about new deli items and menu options quickly.

Unload daily deliveries and makes sure the deli display cases are organized and fully stocked with fresh food.

Use portion scales and point-of-sale systems to price items and complete transactions.

Operate all deli equipment according to safety guidelines.

Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces, including meat and cheese slicers, deli display cases, and utensils.

Follow written and verbal instructions from managers.

Adhere to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:

Able to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting.

Collaborate with deli team members and helps other departments as needed.
-
Communicate effectively, speaking multiple languages is a plus.

Enjoy working with customers.
