Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing On Broadway’s digital presence and promote the Broadway District, its businesses, and organizational initiatives through the various digital platforms. This role oversees digital marketing efforts, including website management, email marketing, and social media, while ensuring consistent brand messaging, voice, and visual identity across all communication channels.
This position stays informed on emerging marketing trends and social media best practices to continuously strengthen On Broadway’s visibility, engagement, and impact within the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Plan, execute, and manage all digital marketing initiatives, including website, email marketing, and social media.
- Create, edit, and distribute e-newsletters and promotional email campaigns.
- Develop and maintain a strategic social media content calendar to deliver timely, engaging, and targeted content.
- Monitor emerging social media trends and incorporate best practices into marketing campaigns.
Brand Management
- Maintain a consistent brand identity, messaging, and voice across all digital platforms.
- Create marketing graphics, promotional materials, and digital assets that align with organizational branding.
- Manage website content, including business updates, event submissions, district information, and promotional messaging.
Event Marketing & Promotions
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns for district events and initiatives.
- Coordinate promotional efforts for signature events, including Small Business Saturday and the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway.
- Promote district events through internal communications, community calendars, and external marketing channels.
- Assist district businesses with event promotion, ribbon cuttings, and other marketing opportunities.
Business & Community Engagement
- Foster positive relationships with Broadway District businesses by connecting them with On Broadway programs, resources, and promotional opportunities.
- Collaborate with community organizations, partner agencies, and other Business Improvement Districts to coordinate marketing initiatives and special projects.
Sponsorship & Partnership Support
- Implement sponsorship deliverables and ensure fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.
- Provide proof of performance and reporting to sponsors as required.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain and update the district business database, including new businesses, closures, and business information.
- Assist with Main Street reporting, performance metrics, and organizational data collection.
- Track marketing performance and provide reporting to support organizational goals.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the mission and objectives of On Broadway, Inc.
- Be available for ‘mandatory all staff’ workdays
Status: Full-time, Exempt, Salaried Position
Hours
40 hours per week (may include nights and weekends based on event schedule). The organization is committed to supporting work/life balance through flexible scheduling options by providing comp time for evening and weekend hours worked.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $43,000 - $48,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan options, paid vacation and holidays, and a flexible work environment.
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of professional experience in digital marketing, communications, social media management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- Proficiency with all social media platforms and possesses a drive and desire to try new things/trends.
- Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or Constant Contact), website content management systems, and social media management tools.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects while working independently.
- Self-motivated and good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Interest in community development, local business, or nonprofit work preferred.
- Basic photography and/or videography skills are a plus!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance
- Must be able to be on your feet for multiple hours at a time during various weather conditions
