The Aquidneck Club is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who takes pride in exceptional service, team leadership, and creating memorable experiences for members and their guests.
The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the daily operation of the club’s food and beverage department, ensuring consistently high standards of service while managing staffing, training, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and member satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations and provide hands-on floor management during service.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop food and beverage staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules based on club activities, events, and business levels.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and build strong relationships with members and their guests.
- Address member feedback and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Manage beverage purchasing, including beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic products.
- Maintain accurate beverage inventories, par levels, product counts, and cost controls.
- Receive and verify deliveries and manage vendor relationships.
- Review and process invoices and assist with food and beverage administrative responsibilities.
- Monitor product usage, waste, pricing, and margins.
- Utilize Jonas for club management, reporting, and administrative functions.
- Coordinate with the culinary and management teams to ensure seamless service.
- Create and update food, beverage, cocktail, and event menus using Adobe Creative Cloud/Adobe design software.
- Assist with club events, tournaments, private functions, and other member activities.
- Maintain the club’s standards for service, cleanliness, professionalism, and presentation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of food & beverage management or supervisory experience.
- Private club, country club, upscale restaurant, hotel, or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beverage operations, purchasing, inventory control, and service standards.
- Proven experience leading, training, and scheduling a hospitality team.
- Experience with Jonas or similar private-club management software preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable design software preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional appearance and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who is equally comfortable managing the floor, coaching a team, placing a beverage order, conducting an inventory, reviewing an invoice, working within Jonas, or designing a polished menu.
