Job Summary
We are seeking Xmas holiday assistance and a part time position. A kennel Tech provides daily care for dogs and cats that are boarded. Focusing on cleaning, feeding, walking and monitoring health, while also assisting with bathing, administering medications and reporting any signs of distress to supervisors. There is also face to face interaction with customers. Checking dogs in and out and following a strict protocol in doing so is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately during walking and play times
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or behavioral concerns, reporting findings to pet owners or veterinary staff as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with pet owners and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet care
- Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including animal restraint.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and provide them with a positive experience.
- Experience in related fields such as grooming, dog walking and willing to work front desk and general kennel work as needed.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential for this role.
