Job Overview
Alvin’s Island is seeking a reliable and responsible Retail Store Driver to support operations by transporting merchandise from warehouses to retail store locations. This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to maintain proper stock levels across all stores, especially during the busy tourist season in the Ft. Walton Beach and Destin areas.
Responsibilities and Duties
This position includes, but is not limited to:
- Safely operating company vehicles to transport merchandise from warehouses to store locations
- Loading and unloading trucks in an efficient and organized manner
- Verifying and counting merchandise to ensure accuracy of shipments
- Delivering products to assigned stores and assisting with stocking shelves as needed
- Communicating with warehouse and store teams regarding delivery schedules and inventory needs
- Maintaining cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle
- Following all safety procedures and company policies during transportation and handling of goods
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly without assistance
- Ability to climb ladders and work in varying weather conditions, including heat
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
