TriSource is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on HR & Business Operations Coordinator to support both People & Culture (Human Resources) and Business Operations of a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. This is an execution-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys balancing HR responsibilities with operational coordination in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
The is a temporary position, expected to last 3-4 months.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:30am-3:30pm / 10am-4pm
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day HR and employee questions.
- Respond to employee relations concerns and provide practical support to managers.
- Assist with performance management, documentation, coaching, and follow-up.
- Conduct or assist with workplace investigations when needed.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and employee documentation requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring logistics.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes and maintain personnel documentation.
- Monitor and manage shared HR and recruiting inboxes.
- Maintain and improve HR processes while ensuring timely follow-up on all requests.
- Coordinate day-to-day office operations across multiple locations.
- Support office organization, workstation setup, file digitization, storage organization, and office improvement projects.
- Track IT equipment and organizational assets.
- Assist with procurement, vendor coordination, and contract tracking.
- Monitor the Operations shared inbox and ensure requests are assigned and resolved promptly.
- Coordinate supplies, administrative needs, and operational logistics.
- Provide light IT coordination for employee onboarding/offboarding and vendor communication.
- Track operational tasks, approvals, and deadlines to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Document operational processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
- Support cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives as priorities evolve.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Business Operations, Office Management, or a related field.
- Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a lean organization with minimal administrative support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Experience in nonprofit organizations is a plus.
Starting Pay Rate: $30/HR
