2 day position | Friday & Saturday 8am-12pm
Join our dedicated team as a Dog Kennel Cleaning Technician, working 8 hours per week to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our furry residents. This vital role involves maintaining hygienic kennel spaces, supporting animal care activities, and assisting with pet handling to promote overall well-being. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with dog handling, ensuring animals are safely restrained and comfortable during cleaning procedures.
- Support pet grooming and pet sitting tasks as needed to enhance pet comfort and cleanliness.
- Help with basic dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization.
- Maintain accurate records of kennel sanitation schedules and animal care activities.
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or bedding materials safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owner inquiries with professionalism and warmth.
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques, pet grooming, and animal restraint methods.
- Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary assistant roles is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of pet care, animal behavior, and safety protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $17.25 - $18.25 per hour
